Criss-Cross & Poke-A-Dots

Sometimes mixing things up, is just the change you need.

Although it may SEEM like I come home EVERY weekend, (my mom reminds me always to return home at my earliest convenience), I come home every TWO weeks. Big difference!

Friday night I came home to the two cutest munchkins.
Sophie can light up a room with just taking a few steps. When she finally makes it to her destination, everyone cheers and there is celebration. This routine never gets old.

Chloe is extremely smart, some would argue a little to much for her own good. She is not your average two year old. She can "work the system". Friday night, after baths I was suppose to get Chloe changed, while my mom helped Sophie. Chloe told us all, several times, she doesn't like clothes anymore. When I tried giving her the t-shirt, she demanded that I wear it. Most the time I would just struggle with her and make her wear it. But it seems I have a soft spot for little red heads with attitude. So, I did what she said, I put it on.

I don't think of myself EXTREMELY large, but I have come to the conclusion, 5T is to small. Chloe was perfectly fine with me wearing it, but with a little talking, she put it on.

After my recent fiasco with shake-and-bake with ribs, my mom and I went shopping for FOOD! We bought way to much at Sam's Club. Seriously... how am I going to fit it all in my apartment?... But then I remember I have VISITORS next weekend. And I worry I don't have enough.

This weekend was me being surrounded with family. It was just me and my mom at the house. The boys were off hunting. Its NEVER just me and my mom... So it was nice just to not rush and see each other.

But as always, I can't wait to get back to my Thatcher bed and check on my little Francesco, and Ashli too, I guess.

Attention Citzens!

Our beloved Francesco is in critical condition after last nights attack. Authorities say that Francesco was a victim in what can only be described as a hate crime. Witnesses say suspect Ashli Noel Teeples was seen arguing with Francesco before the incident. Teeples has not released a statement about her involvement. No word on the extent of injuries, but we are told that he will make a full recovery. Family of Francesco is asking we keep him in our prayers and urges anyone with further information to come forward.

On a lighter note:
I am not going to tell lots about my day, but I will show you a pretty good part:

Two Peas In A Pod

Delicious?
Sometimes just our necks and chins get cold.

Nothing to report today. Other than, Falling and Flying by Mindy Gledhill is one of my new favorite songs. Its really good. If you can... look it up. Buy her new CD. She will inspire you.

And it comes full circle:

Today was interesting.

The most wonderful man spoke to us in Devotional today. He gave this quote, and I believe its a standard everyone should live by: "Winners are losers who decided to give it one more try."

I sang my Quadratic Formula song in my math class, it was definitely a solo. (its Mary Had A Little Lamb, but with math terms).

In math I took my glasses off for two seconds to clean them, and realized that I now am so dependent on them. I can't see anything without them on in that class. (probably doesn't help I sit in the very back row)

Last night me and Ashli laid in our beds, trying to meet our decided bedtime (11 p.m.), laughing about anything and everything. She declared that today I would meet my husband... Which started a huge conversation about boys. Needless to say, we were not asleep by 11p.m.

Then today I went to this really cool meeting for ILP (International Learning Program). It was about teaching little children English in 4 different countries for a semester. And I am so excited about it, and its was an extremely informative meeting. So I will be looking in to that, I am thinking maybe in a few semesters.

I have so much to be thankful for today, it seems a little over whelming. I am grateful I can stay up late at night giggling with my roommate. I am thankful I have the option of going a broad for a semester. I am blessed because I can find inspiration through another's faith.

Somehow, my todays are always better than my yesterdays. This makes me excited for everyday, I can't wait to see how much more I will add to my grateful list tomorrow.

The Sweetest Things In Life:

Sometimes are the things that don't make it into the movies.

Talking to a dear friend on the phone for 2.5 hours when you are feeling sad.
Having your roommate surprise you with a frosty from Globe.
Spending hours in Walmart, and enjoying every minute.
Laughing.
Coloring pictures for missionaries.

Today I woke up and, while still snuggled in my covers with Francesco, I decided... today will be extraordinary.
