This just in:

An Elder is in need of your help!

Rocky Lee Black, age 19, has made the choice to leave his friends and family for 2 years, 24 months, and serve among the elite to spread the gospel message. While he serving he cannot receive and/or make regular phone calls to family. This is to ensure his focus says on his mission. So now, us common folk must in return answer our call.. which is: write this young man. We are to be his eyes and ears. We must report on joyful and uplifting things. I encourage you all now, after reading this urgent message, to flock to all the near be convenience store, hoard pens and paper. March to the post offices and demand stamps! AND WRITE YOUR ELDER!!!

Thanks.
B.

A short post, because I want to!

(Rocky and I aug 2009
I think it brings out our good sides)

I haven't really written anything on my blog for such a long time. This is probably due to being in college and having SOO much procrastination, that it turns out I just can't blog. But currently it is between taking a shower and cleaning OR blogging. I choose YOU!

Lets answer a few questions.... if anyone really reads this? I will be done with EAC in May. I will get a fantastic purple robe and have my parents, sister, and grandparents watch my receive my AA degree. I look forward to this day. I then plan on attend a BYU. Which one? I'll let you know when I know. As of the moment, I have no plans on serving an 18 month mission. (I am sure Pamella wouldn't be able to keep this blog up... ha)

I have yet again ANOTHER new roommate. Her name is Ashley, shocker. Another "A" and a repeat too. All my roommates get along great together. I have about 23 credits which 19 of them are with Cody Miller. We happen to be together quite a bit this semester. And we are quite happy with that arrangement.

It is true, I am without four wheels. Although I do have 2. I ride this pretty pink beach bike. It has a bell and handle bar pom poms. I almost fall off/ get hit by cars and/or unmovable objects every time I ride. And I have this strange superstition that my tires are flat, or I am REALLY out of shape.

Books this semester are the highest they have ever been. It is true that I dropped one class because we were required to purchase a 230 dollar book, and that's the price on eBay. And eBay is now my favorite store.

I still spend to much time watching The Office. My room is still a mess and I am still in need of a shower. So I will go now. I have 6 hours of class left today, and that's only with 2 classes....

Dedicated to Gabriel Sanchez....

Ok soo this is a little late....

(this picture just makes me laugh and smile so much)

Gabriel Sanchez goes to school in Nebraska. Where is he apart of the Gymnastics's team [super cool and therefore he is super buff and flips ALL the time.] Over break I was SOOO lucky to see him and hangout for a night. We went to Taylor's then to the light rail, and walked down Mill Ave. It was so fun and I miss the Sanchez boys. Thanks for an awesome night Gabe!!!

And he is off!

Gone to the MTC

Rocky leaves today at 9AM for his 2 year mission he will be serving in Baltimore Maryland! Goodbye Elder Black. We shall miss you dearly. Try to stay out of a lot of trouble, but just enough to come home with good stories. I will count down the days till we can lay on the couch and laugh for hours about a memory or at a good classic movie. Do not worry about missing all the new good movies coming out, I will make a list of everything we have to watch and see.
I love you so much Elder Black. You are a shinning example for us. Go and do, then hurry back to us.

Farewell Little Brother. . .

SUNDAY WE SAID OUR GOODBYES!

Rocky's farewell went by so quickly. It was days of rushing sending out cards, making food and getting decoration ideas followed by one day of family and friends celebrating all of Rocky's choices. Elder Buris and Brad Anderson did a special musical number, "In The Hollow Of Thy Hand," which was very beautiful. I have to say, my favorite sacrament meets are those with all my family sitting around. I loved looking around and seeing my grandparents talking to my uncles and watching the cousins run around. It was quite a day, and I am so blessed to have a little brother that is one of the BIGGEST examples to me. Thank you for everyone that helped. My mom had me, with Grandma as the big helper (reminding us of all the little things we forgot), we requited Sarah (she is our Pamella for the get together's), then my roommates who were in charge of the kids (THANKS!) and all the other family who jumped in and helped. I think that it was a big group effort. Grandpa was the front man for hosting. When guests made it back to our house before us, he was there ready to give them tours and show them around. That is such a gift! Especially since my mom and I were crazy getting food on the table, and Rocky was off with his friends. I was a wonderful, exhausting day.
Sister Black- We missed you! Hurry home!!!!

We are animals together

Or we just like seeing them.

Before our little AJ went to Chicago, Meigen and I went to EAC, Rachel went to ASU and Taylor went to MCC for spring semester, we ALL got together for a ZOO trip. Now this was very impressive for a few reasons. One, we were all together, the first time this happened all break, and the only time. Second we went to feed Giraffes. Something that was Taylor's dream. And it soon became one of my favorite things, along with everyone else.
